Practical information

The workshop will be hosted in Gardanne (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne) which is located 15 km from Aix-en-Provence and 27 km from Marseille (France).

The workshop will be hosted in Gardanne and dinners and activities in Aix-en-Provence and other places. No registration fees are required; each participant will have to cover his accommodation and travel expenses.

We have compiled a partial list of hotels, by order of preference; providing fast access to Aix-en-Provence central train station. Attendees are encouraged to book their accommodation soon, August being a quite busy period in Aix-en-Provence. There should also be a limited number of studios available on the Campus in Gardanne (tell us if you are interested).

Let us remind you that Gardanne is located between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. The region is easily attainable by plane (airport of Marseille, see http://www.mrsairport.com and http://www.mrsairport.com/eng/vols/vol_dr.jsp) or by high-speed train (TGV stops in Aix-en-Provence TGV and Marseille). There is a very regular bus shuttle between Marseille airport and Aix-en-Provence (see http://www.mrsairport.com/eng/acces/acces_bus.jsp).
