The École nationale supérieure des mines, originally located in Saint-Étienne site, has developed in Gardanne (Provence) a fifth research and teaching department specialised in microelectronics.
|
ISMIN trains engineers to design
microelectronic circuits and systems.
|

Three concentrations are proposed:
- embedded systems engineering
- microelectronic design
- computer systems design |

|
|
Teaching organisation:
The ISMIN course, total duration 3 years,
can be joined in the 2nd year (first graduate
year) by holders of a Bachelor’s degree.
1st year of master:
- Basic principles of the specialist field
- Introduction to corporate environment
- Foreign languages
- 700 teaching hours and 550 hours of
industrial project.
2nd year of master:
- Optional courses
- 410 teaching hours, 140 project study
hours and 950 hours of final industrial
placement
