The school offers different types of graduate and post-graduate programs, all of which are open to foreign students:
- Double-major Master's degree in engineering and management ("Ingénieur Civil des Mines" - ICM)
- Master of engineering in microelectronics and applications (ISMEA)
- Master of Science (Thesis) (prerequisite for PhD studies)
- Post Master's programs ("Mastères spécialisés")
- PhDs

ECTS - European Credit Transfer System
All the ENSM.SE courses use the European credit and transfer system, ECTS, to facilitate student exchange between European Union member countries.

All these programs are the result of strong interactions between the research departments of ENSM-SE.

In partnership with other universities or colleges of engineering, the ENSM.SE provides courses leading to a MS (Thesis), known in France as a "Master recherche".

This one-year program is the first step towards a French doctorate and includes a minimum of six months of laboratory work and internships.

The École des Mines de Saint-Étienne offers 11 Masters of Science:

    In partnership with the Jean MONNET University of Saint-Étienne, the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble and the Joseph FOURRIER University of Grenoble.
