Master in Microelectronics Technology and Manufacturing Management
Module 1.3 - Production & Equipment Management
Detail
1.3.1 - Manufacturing Front End Automation
1.3.3 - Defectivity Control & Reduction
1.3.5 - Logistic & Traceability Chain
1.3.6 - Capacity management and Overall Equipment Efficiency
1.3.1 - Manufacturing Front End Automation
Program focus
This 6 hours course presents the automation environment of a manufacturing
site of the semiconductor industry
Benefits
At the end of the course, you will understand the importance and necessity
of the systems supporting the very complex semi-conductors industry manufacturing
with its hundreds of process steps
1.3.2 - Equipment Management
Program focus
This 6 hour training presents techniques which allow you to focus your maintenance
efforts on the most critical areas allowing you to optimize availability
without increasing maintenance costs.
The successful management of physical assets needs much more than technical
skills. In all sectors of industry, growing mechanization and automation,
greater technological complexity and increasing cost demand more precisely
focused asset management strategies. It is an environment where inadequate
operating policies or unsuitable maintenance procedures can use hundreds
of thousands dollars losses. So we need to adopt new ways of thinking and
acting.
Benefits
At the end of this course, you will have acquired the right skills to identify
and use the suitable maintenance procedures and understand better equipment
failure techniques. The training program will also help you in making the
right maintenance decisions, help you to understand and co-operate more
efficiently with equipment suppliers and respond quickly and positively
to new expectations.
1.3.3 - Defectivity Control & Reduction
Program focus
This 6 hours course provides a complete description of the workload of the
Defectivity reduction Team, and its importance in improving Yield, monitoring
the health of the line, and supporting the new technology ramp up in a semi
conductor Front End line
Benefits
At the end of the course, you will be more effective in understanding the
relationship between Process & Equipment Engineers and the Defectivity
Team in its different roles, how to measure defect density and understand
yield impact.
1.3.4 - Facilities Management
Program focus
This 6-hour course reviews fab facilities properties, and is used as a basis
for understanding fab construction and maintenance.
Benefits
At the end of the course, you will be more effective in understanding facilities
characteristics and importance to run a semiconductor fab.
1.3.6 - Capacity management and Overall Equipment Efficiency
Program focus
The purpose of this six-hour course is to understand the role of capacity
management in manufacturing systems, in particular: To learn the definition
and the use of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) as a management tool,
and to learn models and tools for capacity planning.
Benefits
At the end of the course, you will understand the major motivations and
challenges related to capacity management in a semiconductor manufacturing
fab.
1.3.7 - Cycle time Management
Program focus
This six-hour course looks at cycle time management in the manufacturing
industries. We tackle scheduling concept problems, dispatching algorithms
and we link with cycle time management and end with some real cases studies.
Benefits
At the end of the course, you will more sensitive to the constraints which
sustain efficient cycle time management.
