Department of Materials Science and Structures (SMS)
This department involves 110 people and includes a unit connected to the CNRS, UMR 5146: PECM (Material Plasticity, Damage and Corrosion).
There are currently 6 laboratories:
- Rheology, Mechanisms, Microstructures and Material Models (laboratory R3M)
- Microstructures and shaping (laboratory MMF)
- Physical Mechanics and Interfaces (laboratory MPI)
- Surface treatment (laboratory TDS)
- Special Ceramics (laboratory CES)
- Mechanics and materials (laboratory MEM)
Department of Natural and Industrial Processes (SPIN)
With a staff of 75 of whom 27 are teacher researchers and 25 are preparing their PhD, the SPIN department has 4 scientific laboratories:
- Geochemistry, Environment, Drainage, Industrial Reactors, Crystallization (laboratory GENERIC)
- Microsystems, Instrumentation, and Chemical Sensors (laboratory MICC)
- Physical and Chemical Engineering of Multicomposite Materials (laboratory PC2M)
- Procedures and Development of Systems with Solids (laboratory ProcESS)
Department of Sciences, Information and Technology for the Environment (SITE)
This department has 44 people, of whom 26 are preparing their PhD, and it is divided into 2 laboratories:
- Mastering Environmental Impact and Industrial Risk (laboratory MIRI)
- Information, Decision and Environmental Assessment (laboratory IDEE)
Department of Industrial Engineering and Information Science (G2I)
The G2I department develops skills in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering in the following laboratories:
- Networks, Information, Multimedia (laboratory RIM)
- Multi-Agent Systems (laboratory SMA)
- Scientific Methods for Industrial Management (laboratory MSGI)
- Organisation and Modelling of Industrial Systems (laboratory OMSI)
Georges Charpak Center for Microelectronics in Provence (CMP Georges Charpak)
The center has 70 people and comprises 3 research teams:
- Manufacturing Science
- Micropackaging and plastic electronics
- Secure Systems and architecture
Department of Health Science and Engineering (CIS)
Able to rely on the potential of a group of 20, of whom there are 5 teachers or individuals qualified to lead research and 12 people preparing their PhD, CIS, created Ist July 2004, brings together and develops new training and research activities in the scientific field for the engineer working in Health. The department is organised in three laboratories:
- Biomaterials and Mechanics
- Images and Statistics
- Organisation and Management
