The Department of Chemical Engineering of the Ecole des Mines de Saint
Etienne was founded in the early sixties.
Since 1992 it has integrated several research groups that have developed
skills in the research areas of:
| |
reactivity of solids |
| |
geochemistry and process engineering |
to give a new department called SPIN (a French acronym for Sciences
of Industrial and Natural Processes).
Within this new structure, pre-existing synergies have grown and strengthened
to give SPIN a unique position in the domain of Chemical Engineering.
The main objective of the research activities of SPIN department is to
contribute to the advance and diffusion of knowledge in several fields
of Chemical Engineering. This results in opportunities for young undergraduate
and graduate students and research contracts in partnership with industry
in many fields:
| |
Nuclear Energy |
| |
Oil and Gas Production |
| |
Materials for Electronics |
| |
New Civil Engineering Materials |
| |
Biomaterials |
| |
Pharmaceutical Industry |
| |
Environment and Sustainable Growth |
| |
Industrial Safety |
| |
Instrumentation |
