Walid TRABELSI
Walid was graduated from an engineering school in Tunisia specialized in microelectronics, and he chose the Master SISA because for him security is an emerging field since nowadays it has become a necessity to secure our privacy.
How did you benefit from the Masters?
The Master SISA gave me the opportunity to access the most leading companies in Hardware/Software security and Design through the courses delivered by both experts and academics and also thanks to the 6 month mandatory internship. Besides, it was a very interesting experience because I have had the possibility to share my knowledge with other international students.
In your opinion, what such a program could bring to a foreign student?
If you want to have a strong knowledge in security, so this master is for you! Courses are delivered by the most qualified professors and experts in the security & design field.
What is your professional objective after this program (which position to you want to reach)?
Actually I’m doing an internship with the CEA-LETI laboratory in collaboration with companies specialized in complex secure systems and I would like to pursue a PhD in order to be in touch with the global technology before that it becomes public.
What are the master added values ?
To obtain a diploma from a prestigious engineer school is a good added value for a career and especially in a field such as hardware security.
If you have some advice to give to the next students, what will it be?
It’s better to be familiarized with the most known programming languages before applying for the Master. Therefore, it will be easier for you to find an internship in software or hardware security and then you will have more opportunity to choose the security field in which you want to be specialized.
