Film Festival Calendar
June 1st 2005 deadline!To promote National Neighborhood Day’s mission and vision, we are hosting a short film contest for both professional and amateur filmmakers to illustrate, through a 5-minute or less film, what their neighborhood means to them. The deadline for entries is June 1, 2005. International entries accepteded $15 fee Starting May 2 2005 SXSWclick! South by Southwest Festival SXSWeb is now SXSWclick! After a hugely successful 2004 event, South by Southwest's summer multimedia festival returns with a new name to better reflect our expansion into emerging and mobile media technologies. We’ll begin accepting submissions May 2, 2005, with a final deadline for entries on June 10th. Entries are welcome in all film genres (music videos, documentaries, narratives, flash animation, etc.) but cannot be longer than 5 minutes. You may submit your entry on DVD, VHS tape, or as an .swf file on disk. Please be sure your submission is NTSC, Region 1 compatible. The fee for submission is $10. Look for further details and our on-line submission application on May 2. Finalists will be selected by July 1st and posted on the SXSW website, where viewers can cast a vote for their favorite. In addition we’ll have a specially selected jury deliberating on the finalists. People’s Choice and Jury winners will be announced on July 29th and will be automatically entered to screen at the 2006 SXSW Film Festival, March 10-18th in Austin, TX. You’ll also be able to view the winning short films on our website. |
