Warp: 1. To turn or twist (cardboard, for example) out of shape 2. Sci-fi to alter the space time continuum so as to permit FTL travel. Cease Fire:  1. a pause in a battle or war often to recover casualties or to allow negotiations.a temporary  armistice or truce.
Starfleet:  1.A number of  military starships operating together under one command. In the fictional universe of Star Trek, Starfleet is the defense, research, diplomacy, and exploration force of the United Federation of Planets (UFP Beam: 1. a plank or piece of wood. 2. a. A ray or shaft of light. b. A concentrated stream of particles or a similar propagation of waves: a beam of protons; a beam of light. Sci-fi to beam up means to teleport.

In science fiction shields are often some sort  force field, usually totally insubstantial and invisible.
Headquarters: 1. A center of operations or administration. (Often referring to either a military or business command center) . Phaser: 1.a ray gun or weapon made famous by Star Trek. It resembles a laser except that it can be set to kill or stun.
Ploy: 1 A trick calculated to frustrate an adversary or gain an advantage.  maneuver, bluff, gimmick etc. Some of these definitions were made by searching
