     Robot Scenarios

The Perfect Mate

You and your  all male scientific team have spent long hours creating the perfect mechanical woman the "X-babe'. Her every movement is precisely defined. This is the culmination of years of research and experimentation. She walks, she talks,...  but you find her well, sort of robotic. One of your team mentions that she is supposed to be like a woman and that perhaps you should program some
femininity into this machine.
So you search various scientific databases for info on the subject of woman. You find zip.

xbabe the robot girl you build yourself

Thus it is up to you and your guys to formulate a list of rules that define women and of course explain this to X-babe.
Think of the things that might happen if you brought her to a party, when she meets a real woman,
out on a date, when she first sees children, etc...
Does she get jealous? Does it bother the boys if she does not act like a lady?
Needs some inspiration? You may want to see a short film made by the Mountain Rhinos called XBabe.

The Baby-sitter

Your parents have left for a three week cruise. You've got the house to yourself. You're free. Except that before leaving,
they have rented a Robot/babysitter who looks and seems to be a another university student like you. The problem is you
can't get rid of he/she and it's a goody two shoes; doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, your music is too loud... you get the picture.
You've even tried out running it (the android's is faster)
Outsmarting it? By the way, the three laws of robotics apply:

1.A robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2.A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with
   the First Law.
3.A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Isaac Asimov

Imagine the arguments you might have with this quasi-parent. Create situations where you met your friends with your babysitter
extraodinaire.

Women in Science

On the periodic table of elements Fe stands for iron.
Therefore, female means not an average man but one of iron.

At last women have achieved equality with men in Science. Now, it is time to surpass them. The first thing you and your team
of woman are going to do is develop
Human Male version 2.1.
It is time to take matters into your own hands! A new and improved guy is just the thing to prove that women can meddle
with nature too! Have fun! What improvements would you make? What "ingredients" would you put in? Sensitivity Training ,
advance programing, how could these be accomplished? What would be the effect on people who meet the perfected man.
Did you make Mr Right or a Frankendate?
