B-Line : Like some creature out of a fairy tale B-Line has always wanted to be completely human. Unlike many other androids from Simade Robotiques she worked herself free. Starting as a nurse general class B-Line was already a highly advanced product. She worked weekends and stayed in a tiny apartment to save money. She paid for any scheduled upgrades and purchase many others that she thought would make her more of a real woman. When she transferred to maternity she even had an artificial womb installed  in case of an emergency she could perhaps be used to bring a premie to term. That never happened. But this shows some of the determination she possessed. Later it was too hard to work in maternity. Not that she was jealous, she just was unhappy reminded every day that she was somehow incomplete.
When she paid off all of her debts to Simade she moved into a larger flat and went to courses at night school. She never tired of taking courses on the human body or psychology or any of the other humanities. In anthropology she dreamed of what it must have been like to roam free in the jungle. In archeology she imagined herself living in ancient Inca temples or working in the coal mines of St.Etienne. In class was where she met Mohamid. He was a guest lecturer in her emergency medicine class. She hated him at first. Thought he was much too arrogant and so self assured. Still when they finally talked she realised that he was not all ego and was in fact a great listener. It was inescapable, they fell in love. She didn’t tell him at first because frankly she wasn’t sure that it was any of his business. Later it drove her crazy that she hadn’t told him. The hardest thing she ever did was tell him that she wasn’t human. He said it didn’t matter. She loved him all the more for his lie.
Her romantic streak explains perhaps why she wanted so desperately to get married. And marry they did. Though his family shunned them. And for five glorious years they were happy. It would have stayed that except that she noticed that he began to look at children longer and longer. And though he tried to hide it from her it was still true. He regretted not having children. That’s when she concocted this whole fantastic scheme. A surprise so that some day she could come home and tell him she was pregnant with his child.
