What you are about
to see is an average letter written at the end of the twentieth
century. There is nothing
really shocking about the content. It describes basically, the rather humdrum
life of a salesman in his letter to his mother.
Now imagine if you will
what would happen if this letter were to be magically transported back
into the year 1886, over a hundred years ago. Not really a long time geologically,
but for our purposes: eons.
Try to pretend that you
are the recipient of that letter. All the names of the modern devices that
were invented in the twentieth century would be so much gibberish. To place
into the shoes of this person of the nineteenth century all of the names
of the modern appliances and items have been replaced with rather silly
words. Read the letter and see if you can disern what they are.
A
Letter from Our Future
