The Salesman: your objective is to meet with the CEO of a medium size firm. You have moved heaven and Earth for this man to agree to see you and now you can call his personal aide to arrange a meeting. You really want your chance to sell your product. So get on the phone The Executive Assistant: : Your boss agreed to meet with the salesman because of the family connections the salesman has. However your superior does not want to actually meet with this man, so he has asked you to schedule an appointment and then call up and cancel it. Make up an excuse and if you have to reschedule the meeting do so. Repeat this process as often as you need with wilder and wilder evasions.

No nonsense business exec: you are here to attend a big business conference and you need directions to your hotel and the convention hall, etc.

The tourists from _____: you have come a long way and you are very excited and enthusiastic about your first visit to the city. You want to see the sites, eat at a great restaurant, etc.

Teachers: you can cut out the square and place them face down to let the students choose their own partners. If this

is an ESL class perhaps giving your students some time to search for the appropriate vocabulary would be in order.
