The Circle for the Study of Metals (CEM: Cercle d’Etudes des Métaux) is a learned society, a forum for the exchange and transfer of scientific and technical knowledge of every aspect related to metal alloys.
Since 1935, it has strived to disseminate the advances made in public research laboratories to engineers in industry.
Based in Saint-Etienne’s Ecole des Mines, part of France’s prestigious system of “Grandes Ecoles”, it organizes seminars, training and provides expertise and technical assistance to industry.
