I am Associate Professor within a Laboratory for Information Science and Technology (LIST) at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne. My works seek to find mathematic models and algorithms to support Decision-Making in Industry, mainly using optimization methods from Operations Research. Therefore they are related to several scientific areas such as Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science. Currently I am co-chair of the Organizing Committee of the Congress of the French National Society of Operations Research and Decision Science ROADEF 2011. My research concern especially the study of Production and Transport Systems in order to develop appropriate Decision-Support software and tools. My main focus is on the conception of such industrial systems as e.g.:

• Railway infrastructures and their capacity,
• Transfer lines with standard equipment,
• Reconfigurable production systems.

Among the different optimization methods used in Operations Research, my main research areas are:

• Integer Programming,
• Combinatorial Optimization,
• Metaheuristics,
• Multiobjective Optimization.

During several researches, I had to deal with the exact and approximate resolution of the Set Packing Problem. You can find here some benchmarks for this problem.
